I’m catching up on some knitting projects that I posted on Ravelry, but want to delete. I just want all my projects centralized on my site, so I don’t have to search in multiple locations. I made this hat earlier this year to try out mohair yarn. I wasn’t sure if I would have an allergic reaction to the fibers. I do have an allergy to certain types of wool. I’m not allergic to merino, just the scratchy wool. This was also my first cable knitting project. Pretty exciting to see the cables form as you knit.
Project Info
The pattern I used was the Luna hat by Alexandra Davidoff.
Needles & Yarn
Needles
I used US 4 (3.5mm) and US 6 (4.00mm) circular needles and was able to get gauge (22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette stitch using US 6 needles).
Yarn
I used the same yarn used in the pattern: Hedgehog Fibres Kidsilk Lace in Crystal and Hedgehog Fibres Sock in Salty Tales.

Notes
I knit the hat twice out of the two skeins of yarn, and I still had some yarn leftover. The hats knitted together quickly. It only took a few days for each. Luckily, I found out that I am not allergic to mohair!
